The Indian Air Force (IAF), along with the Army, Navy, DRDO, and the Border Roads are all in battle gear to combat the biggest challenge the nation is faced with. Of great use has been the IAF’s transport fleet boosted by its acquisition of C-17 Globemasters and C-130J Super Hercules, the IL 76, and heavy-lift Chinook helicopters. The IAF is rushing tons of equipment to densely populated centers, remote and high altitude areas to fight the pandemic. It has adopted a hub and spoke strategy to optimize its capabilities and blend these with the national effort to arrest the spread of the virus.
