The war has come home to Ukrainians. Even a few weeks back, a large percentage of Ukrainians thought a Russian invasion was unlikely, but as Russian tanks, guns and war like equipment gets further into Ukraine’s depth, there is no ambiguity anymore. It’s also clear that the Ukrainians are fighting back with whatever they can muster. For Russia, any hopes of a fast sweep across Ukraine and controlling the country, are depleting by the day. This interview takes measure of the current situation, the great human tragedy simultaneously unfolding, Putin’s greater plans, analysis of American intent and EU’s unambiguous stance that will keep it out of the events in Ukraine.
The only good news emanating from Ukraine is that the students are mostly out of harm’s way. Ukrainians will have to fight their battle all by themselves, except for some aid and assistance from EU & US.
